Come to Whiting Christian Church for an afternoon of Nerf Gun fun and delicious nachos! Kids Kindergarten age and up are welcome to come to the church on Saturday February 25 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm to take part in some nerf gun action! We ask that kids please bring their own nerf guns and darts for this event. We hope to see you on February 25th for the fun!

Our annual event for every car AND burger lover in the area! Come join us as we celebrate the stories and projects that ride along with each car that will show up. This year due to the rising cost of meat, we will be serving burgers by the Cattleman's Association at 6pm. Come early to make sure you have a chance to see each car!

For the past five years, we have been blessed with the opportunity to invest in our community by providing backpacks and other items for kids as they head into the new school year. We’re excited to serve these families in August by once again holding this event. God has called us to love where we live, and this is a great chance for you to be involved by serving at the event or by sponsoring students. The 4th of July falls on a Sunday this year and with that, we invite the whole community and the surrounding area to Whiting Christian Church for a service on the front lawn! The service will begin at 10am and all you need is you, your family, and a lawn chair for you to be comfortable in for worship!

We are excited to announce a new event at WCC that will be a blast for ALL ages! Activities will include pumpkin decorating, bingo, delicious food, hay rack ride, hot chocolate, and of course, CANDY! Families or groups are encouraged to register and participate together so that we can maintain social distance. The Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 17th! We have two time slots available: 12 pm - 2 pm & 5 pm - 7 pm.

We are excited to announce that WCC will be hosting another outdoor family movie night on Friday, August 7 at 8p as a part of our annual Back to School Drive! This time around, YOU get to vote on the movie that will be projected on the big screen!!! There is a poll on our Facebook page where you can vote one of the three movies to be shown at our movie night! We will be giving out backpacks and other items starting at 8p for K-12th Grade students! We will also have our special guest, Special K and her amazing bubbles there for students to enjoy as well!!! Bring your lawn chairs, bug spray, and blankets and tune into 90.1 FM on your car radio to participate in the movie. We ask that everyone be conscientious about social distancing as you participate. We hope you can join us for our Drive-in Service this Sunday! PLEASE NOTE: Our Service will begin at 9a in June due to the warmer weather. Our team will be stationed outside where your family can pick up communion, park your car, and tune your car radio on station 90.1FM to listen to our service! If the weather is not fit to be set up outside, then we will still broadcast our service on 90.1FM and you can still listen from your vehicle and we will do our best to run our service through the north windows!

Every year we come together and recognize the blessings that God has given to us as individuals as well as to us as the Body of Christ. As a church we have been given every opportunity to support ministries locally and abroad. Each ministry is equally important and has an impact on the Kingdom of God by spreading the good news of Christ, thus working to accomplish the mission that Christ set for us in Matthew 28. 

The Harvest Dinner & Offering has long been a call to each of us in the church to give above and beyond our normal giving to help support each one of our regular missions as well as particular needs that might arise within the community. We invite you to join us for our annual Harvest Dinner & Offering on Sunday, November 17th at 5:30p. The meat and potatoes will be provided, just bring two sides to share with everyone!

An event for everyone! Wear your (family friendly, please) costumes and come hang out with us for some great games and as much candy anyone could handle. Free food will be available for everyone as well as drinks and hot beverages. We look forward to seeing you then!

One last chance to hang out together before Fall takes over!! Come join us down at Camp Nebowa, located on Blue Lake in Onawa for food and fun on the lake! The church will provide pulled pork sandwiches and drinks, just bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share with everyone. Come ready to have fun, and make sure to invite a friend or neighbor to this community event!

Kids SLAM is proud to present: “Never Too Young: Dinner & a Show.” Come hear presentations and performances based on all of the wonderful things the kids have been learning during their time in Kids SLAM this year! The show starts at 5:30p in the Sanctuary with dinner to follow! See you then!

It has been quite a ride, but the remodel of the children's ministry and office area of the building is now complete!! To celebrate this, and have an opportunity for everyone to take a walk through the new area, we are going to have a potluck together on Sunday, April 15th. Please bring your favorite food. It doesn't matter what it is - we just want to share it with you! We look forward to spending this time together in community, thanking God for this great blessing He has given and eating a meal together.

Be sure to join us during our 10am worship service to hear our Kids Choir bring us special music through Christmas Carols. We love our kids, and we are so thrilled to have them be a part of worship with us as we celebrate Christ's birth.
