Hello! Almost a month ago Mark and Sharon Leonard who are the manager and cook at Camp Nebowa in Onawa had a tree come crashing down on their house. It was also around this time that Mark was diagnosed with lung cancer. Since, the tree was removed from on top of the house and was cut into large chunks. But there still remains quite a mess of brush that needs moved and logs that need split.

In order to bless this family who has served the camp for decades we would like to organize a clean up day. This coming Saturday the 22nd from 9-12 we want to get this tree taken care of fully. We will need people who can bring trucks to haul brush to the burn pile, maybe a couple chainsaws, rakes, and many hands to make quick work of this. The camp does have a wood splitter, but if someone has another they could bring that would help speed up the process.

This is a great opportunity to put the love of the Church into action in our community and help serve a local mission that we support! If you have any questions please reach out to the church!

Valentine’s Day Fun! Bring your family and enjoy a night together at the church. This will be going on in place of KidSlam and Encounter. Also bring your favorite board game!

You're invited to join us for our VBS Celebration beginning at 10am, during our regular worship service, where there will be a presentation from the kids about what they learned during the week, followed by a hot dog lunch and fun outside on the church lawn with a FOAM PARTY and water slide! Make sure to bring your swimsuits!!

The guest speaker will be the Morningside head coach Steve Ryan. This is going to be a fun night so come hangout and bring your son, a friend, or both!

Bring the kiddos for a fun evening of painting and tasty pizza at the WCC Family Life Center! Kids Kindergarten age and up are welcome to come to the church on Saturday, April 1st from 5:00pm to 6:30pm to take part in the festivities! We ask that you please register your kiddos online by scanning the QR code here and want to make you aware there is a small fee for the event. We hope to see you!

Come join us for an evening banquet to thank our volunteers and look forward to the future of our Church! This meal will be catered by Staley's and there will be free child care provided as well. Registration closes March 1st!

WCC would like to invite you and your family to a service where the whole family can take part together! This is a more child-oriented service and so services may look a little different. Families can come at 10am for a bit of worship followed by a short message in the word of God, take part in Communion, and then close in worship to wrap up the service. This type of service allows the leaders and volunteers of the Children’s Ministry to have a break on Sunday and allow for them to take part in worship together with their families. We hope you will join us for the first Family Sunday on March 5th at 10:00am!

Come to Whiting Christian Church for an afternoon of Nerf Gun fun and delicious nachos! Kids Kindergarten age and up are welcome to come to the church on Saturday February 25 from 3:30pm to 5:00pm to take part in some nerf gun action! We ask that kids please bring their own nerf guns and darts for this event. We hope to see you on February 25th for the fun!

Christmas Eve Services at 4:30pm & 6:00pm

The Harvest Dinner & Offering has long been a call to each of us in the church to give above and beyond our normal giving to help support each one of our regular missions as well as particular needs that might arise within the community. We invite you to join us for our annual Harvest Dinner & Offering on Sunday, November 14th at 5:00p. The meat will be provided, just sign-up to bring a side or a dessert to share with everyone! Join us for a Soup Lunch following worship on Sunday, November 7 as Rusty Hedger will be our Guest Speaker during service that day. Join us together in fellowship for a great meal as well as the opportunity to get to connect with Rusty while he is here!

Our annual event for every car AND burger lover in the area! Come join us as we celebrate the stories and projects that ride along with each car that will show up. This year due to the rising cost of meat, we will be serving burgers by the Cattleman's Association at 6pm. Come early to make sure you have a chance to see each car!

For the past five years, we have been blessed with the opportunity to invest in our community by providing backpacks and other items for kids as they head into the new school year. We’re excited to serve these families in August by once again holding this event. Our annual student ministry lake day is coming up on August 10th! Supper provided!

The 4th of July falls on a Sunday this year and with that, we invite the whole community and the surrounding area to Whiting Christian Church for a service on the front lawn! The service will begin at 10am and all you need is you, your family, and a lawn chair for you to be comfortable in for worship!

We will be having a Fellowship Lunch following worship on Sunday, May 30th! We here at WCC are excited to be able to host a meal together as a congregation and come together in fellowship with each other. There are sign-ups available for those who are willing to provide items to be served at the lunch. We look forward to gathering together on May 30th!
